Hey guys! In a community like Rochester [Minnesota], we’re seeing a lot of development. And so, if you’re looking in to open a business, your real estate agent or yourself need to understand: who are the individuals that are building these buildings in the market?
And the reason that I say that is because, if they can understand what spaces are being built ahead of time, you potentially can get into a space prior to others even knowing about it because you went (or your real estate agent went) and talked to the person that was building that property.
So, with the development that’s occurring, one thing that I’m doing is I’m continually talking to these developers to ask them: what type of space are they going to have available? What type of businesses are they looking for? Examples are, there’s a developer in town that’s looking for a daycare. There’s another developer in town that’s looking for a salon. Because I’ve talked to that developer directly, I can better assist my clients to get them into spaces that aren’t even developed today.
